What is the difference between this metal detector and the ace 150?

The ACE 150 is no longer a current model. Garrett has replaced the 150 with the ACE 200 and has included numerous improvements including screen size and depth.

detect gold?

The simple answer is yes. Gold is a conductive metal. If you specifically want a gold detector, a higher frequency is preferable and a pulse induction detector is optimal. Any detector can find a gold ring, but nuggets exist in soils with high mineral content. Of course, the more you ask of a detector, the higher the cost. A PI gold detector will cost 20 times the cost of this or much more.

• it is very accurate and the price was also good!

CONS

• The ACE 200 detector has a waterproof coil, however the metal detector's control box is not submersible. Only the coil can be used in the water.
• If you specifically want a gold detector, a higher frequency is preferable and a pulse induction detector is optimal.
